A reservation is not mandatory, spontaneous visits are possible. An entrance ticket provides access to the exhibition(s), located across both historic canal houses, the library and garden(house). 

The following groups and card holders get free entry to the museum and do not need to buy an online ticket:

  • Children (0-17), Museumkaart, Stadspas, I Amsterdam City Card, Members of the press with a valid press card, ICOM card

Information

  • Children (0-17) and people with a valid Museumkaart, ICOM card, Stadspas, I Amsterdam City Card or press card will get free admission and do not need to buy a ticket online.
  • A discounted ticket (€6.50) is only valid on presentation of the corresponding pass or card.
  • A ticket for a tour does not include admission to the museum; you must purchase it separately. Your Museumkaart or other discount card can be used for this.
  • You can print your ticket, or have it scanned from a smartphone or tablet, at the museum reception desk.
